Things To Do With Newspaper

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

By Andrea Stephenson Back in my teaching days we were always looking for ways to make education entertaining on a low budget. However, the idea that follows is not just useful for educators but also anybody who is looking for something to pass a rainy day indoors without having your children glued to the television. You will need: As much newspaper as possible Tape Some picture books / magazines showing clothing The first step is to be realistic. Choose a picture of a costume that will present a challenge but is within the abilities of the age range carrying out the project. It may be a supermodels latest fantastic showpiece from Milan or a historical outfit: a Samurai, a Geisha and a Victorian ladys crinolin were all examples my students produced. The realm of fantasy has countless possibilities: Neptune, Medusa, a werewolf or a harpy are just some suggestions that immediately come to mind. This works best in groups of three or four, but can be done with just two people. One will have to be the model, the others the designers. By rolling, crinkling and folding the paper and connecting sections together with tape the most fantastic costumes can begin to take form. For the more adventurous, other everyday household items can be used. Sponges or potato printing for painting the costume, or incorporate other household items like empty yoghurt pots and bottle tops. A basic costume can be built in under an hour, a more complex one can provide hours of entertainment for all involved. If you want to carry it even further why not hold a fashion show? This project can be as fun and as involved as you make it! Andrea is an author on http://www.Writing.Com/ which is a site for Creative Writers. How To Write A Really Great Marketing Letter That Makes Readers Take Action

Monday, November 26th, 2007

By Mark Satterfield Unfortunately, many marketing letters do not end with a compelling call to action. When you’re developing your marketing plan you always want to think about what is next? What do we want our reader to do? That is why you need to create intriguing and compelling offers that motivate people to take that next step. Marketing letters are a very powerful tool. However, they are limited in terms of what they can realistically motivate a reader to do. For example it is very unlikely that a single letter will: Get a reader to call you up and hire you. Result in a flood of phone calls of interest. Immediately enable you to set up a large number of face-to-face appointments. It would be nice if a single letter to a never-contacted-before prospect galvanized them into hiring you. Nice, but unrealistic. Although common sense would dictate that this is true, it is surprising how many people tell me, We tried letters and they did not work. No one hired us as a result of our mailing. Well what were you expecting? Unless you are marketing tree-trimming services, you are probably not going to get someone to hire you on the basis of a single letter. That is just not a good criteria by which to judge the effectiveness of a letter. Keep in mind that this is all about building relationships. And in order to do that we need to crawl before we can walk. What we need is a smaller request. Something that advances the relationship, but offers better odds that the reader will say Yes. Remember that this is a lot like dating. You do not go up to the pretty girl (or handsome guy) who you have never met and say, Want to get married? That is akin to saying, I hope you will hire me, in your marketing letter. Maybe you will get lucky with your letter and it will hit the desk of someone who desperately needs your services. But that is luck. And being lucky just is not an effective long term marketing strategy. Unless your letter is lucky enough to reach someone who has a crying need for your particular service, the best your letter can accomplish is to raise a mild level of curiosity. Unfortunately, marketing letters are often judged on how many meetings they generate, or how many people call to discuss their problems. From a practical level this just is not how most readers are going to respond. You will achieve a lot more long-term success if you structure your letter so that it intrigues those who might have a little bit of interest in what you do, rather than only appealing to those with a burning need. This means that the letter needs to offer something that does not commit the reader to a lengthy meeting, a telephone call or anything that requires they actually communicate with someone. At this stage in the relationship, the reader may be interested in your services, but they are also very leery of leaving themselves open to a sales pitch. This is why the offer of Free Information works so well at this stage in the relationship building process. The scenario is something like this. Your reader puts down the letter and thinks to himself. That is kind of interesting. They seem to have an understanding of the issues I am facing. However I really do not want to meet with this person, nor do I really want to talk with them on the phone. However they reference some additional information, and that might be kind of interesting to read. If I can go to their website and get it, I just might do that. This is why it is so important to think about marketing your services as a system. Each step in the process should lead to the next component in the sequence. And the step that has the greatest likelihood of succeeding at this-point-in-time is the offer of a some more information. This call to action should direct readers to your website in which this offer should be prominently displayed. Naturally the information form people must fill out in order to get the report links to your automated stay-in-touch system. That is crucial in order for you to continue to move prospects from curiosity to interest to action. Mark Satterfield is the founder and CEO of Gentle Rain Marketing LLC. The University of Miami - Overview

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Jason Albright The University of Miami, often called UM or the U, is a private university located in Coral Gables, Florida. Coral Gables is close to Miami, Florida. The University of Miami was founded in 1925 and currently has a total student body of just over 15,000. Students at the University of Miami had an average GPA of 4.0 and SAT score of 1260 upon entering the university in 2006. Over sixty-two percent of University of Miami students who entered the university in 2006 were in the top 10 percent of their high school class. The University of Miamis main campus is spread across 240 acres in Coral Gables. There are also several satellite campuses of the University of Miami, such as the Rosensetiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science located on Virginia Key. The University of Miami is divided into eight undergraduate academic schools. The three graduate level schools at the University of Miami are the School of Law, the School of Medicine, and the Rosensetial School. The school colors of the University of Miami are orange, green, and white. These colors represent the fruit, leaves, and blossoms of the orange tree, which are prevalent on the University of Miami campus. The sports teams of University of Miami are called the Miami Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are local rivals with the Florida State University Seminoles and the University of Florida Gators. The official school mascot of the University of Miami is Sebastian the Ibis. The Ibis was selected as University of Miamis mascot as a symbol of leadership and courage. According to legend, the Ibis is the last animal to flee a coming hurricane, and the first animal to reappear after a storm. The University of Miami is also symbolized by a green and orange letter U. This letter is used primarily for the University of Miami sports teams. Cookgroup Marketing LLC - All Rights Reserved. This article brought to you by www.Everything-Miami.com/ . Viagra: A Wonder Drug with Multi-Benefits

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Naore_Rome] Naore Rome With the men folk absorbed in talks of spicing up their sex life with Viagra, the other benefits of Viagra to the human body take a backseat. People’s view of Viagra is straitjacketed. They consider it just as an oral pill that can overcome ED, with some side effects. But apart from sizzling up your sex life and taking care of your erectile dysfunction, it has other benefiting effects on your body. Reports coming from researchers in different areas of health at various universities have come up with exciting facts about Viagra. Researchers in Saarland University found out that Viagra can easily reduce the symptoms of Raynaud’s phenomenon, a circulatory disorder. 16 patients who didn’t respond to the standard medicaments of Raynaud’s phenomenon were asked to take either Viagra or Placebo for four weeks and then switched to the opposite drug for another four weeks. The results strongly favored Viagra as the better treatment. Patients who took Viagra had an average of 35 Raynaud’s attacks as compared to the average of 52 attacks among patients who took placebo. Even the duration of the attacks differed. Patients taking Viagra had an average of 581 minutes of attack while the attacks lasted for 1046 minutes in the patients taking placebo. Another research team has published a report that Viagra can help patients with a fatal pulmonary arterial hypertension that is affecting around 100,000 people the world over. According to Ian Adatia, Ch.B. M.B, associate professor of pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco Children’s Hospital, children with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) walk farther and breathe easier when they take Viagra over the course of a year. 14 children with PAH, who were given Viagra for a period of one year could increase their six minutes walking time by more than 500 feet. Viagra could come to the aid of mountaineers, who frequently face the wrath of deadly cardiovascular effects at high altitudes. Proper use of Viagra helps in reducing the high blood pressure to a great extent and facilitates the easy transportation of oxygen in the blood. It can enhance the ability to exercise at high altitudes too. Viagra can also improve circulation in the lungs. In fact mountaineers have many reasons to benefit from Viagra. A finding of the Medicine Society of North America says that it can help in curing benign prostrate hyperplasia (BPH). Kevin V. McVary, M.D., professor of urology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, who led the study, said patients that were given Viagra showed encouraging signs of improvement in their erectile problems. The researchers also noticed a concomitant decrease in both the irritative and obstructive symptoms of BPH too. A statement of researchers in John Hopkins University claims that fifty percent of the hormonal stress on the heart can be reduced with the use of this oral tablet. A test conducted on pregnant rats at the Vermont College of Medicine suggests that Viagra aid maternal uterine vascular adaptation and fetal health in hypertensive pregnancy. All these reports and findings go on to prove that Viagra is not just about getting an erection, it could prove to be beneficial in other matters of health too. Almeda University

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By Shubhanyu Jain Life experience degrees online and terms like scandal, diploma mill, degree mill, go hand in hand. This is the outcome of some unscrupulous institutions stemming up in the name of providing degrees and diplomas and spoiling the name of the whole business. Regardless of the general perception of the life experience degree system in the public, the public knows it well that there are institutions which offer credible life experience degrees. It is just that people on message boards flow’ in a sham and try to project themselves as cool or whatever if they second something said by the other one. It is a well-known fact, that people are different in real world and different in forums and bulletin boards. Almeda University is a university which has been sucked into the black hole of the online life experience degrees scandal, just because it, too, offers life experience degrees. A thing to note, as to why Almeda has drawn much flak is that the university awards degrees totally online, no examinations nothing. Again, the above statement is just a supposition which exists in the general public. Almeda DOES verify your eligibility by asking you to write a thesis or dissertation if in doubt. If you write a thesis on behalf of your dog, your dog would get the degree - not on its virtue, but because of you - so, in effect, it is you who got the degree. This is not a joke; it is YOU who are trying to defraud the university by faking credentials, it is YOU who are contemplating a crime. Life experience is your practical knowledge gained through regular interaction with your job. Reward it with a life experience degree, valid in over 67 percent of the corporate world and watch doors open for you. History of the Cherry Tree

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

By Patrick Malcolm There are only a few instances in the ancient historical record concerning cherry trees. This absence in the record perhaps resulted in the fragile nature and perishability of the fruit, unlike the fruit from the apple tree. There are strong suggestions that the cherry tree originated in the territories of Asia Minor near the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Other suggestions that the cherry trees were used in the Greek and Roman cultures come from literary historians, and it appears that cherry wood from the trees of cherry was important in many professional applications for the ancients. Among the fruit seeds that were sent in 1628 to the settlement at Plymouth, Massachusetts, by the Massachusetts bay Colony were cherry, peach , plum, filbert, apple, quince, and pomegranate and according to accounts, they sprung up and flourished. William Bartram found bird cherry, Prunus padus, growing near Augusta, Georgia in 1773 as reported in his book, Travels, when he was taking an inventory of plants growing in the South after the Spaniards abandoned and ceded the land to the English. Luther Burbank, two centuries later, believed that the bird cherry should be incorporated into the parentage of future cherry hybrids, because it was the most cold hardy cherry known; with its heavy bearing characteristics and its immunity to most insect and disease problems of the cherry trees already in commercial pipelines, it was the hardiest cherry tree yet. In 1847, Henderson Lewelling brought to Oregon in a covered wagon cherry trees, apples, pear, plum, and quince. Luther Burbank, in his extensive book, Fruit Improvement in 1922, combined characteristics from the Sand cherry tree, Prunus besseyi, with the American plum, Prunus chickasaw, and the Japanese plum, Prunus triflora, that ripened in California around mid-August. Burbank described the fruit as deep crimson in color, transparent flesh, rich sweet flavor, juicy and firm with a strong resemblance of the parental form of the American plum, Prunus chickasaw. This cherry-plum hybrid was able to withstand the cold and rigorous climatic conditions, even to the Dakotas. Professor N.E. Hansen of the South Dakota Experiment Station developed and improved the Sand cherry, Prunus besseyi, that was marketed as the Improved Dwarf Rocky Mountain Cherry, with fruit growing as large as the Richmond cherry. Luther Burbank argued in his 1922 book, Fruit Improvement page 149, that this Sand cherry tree was more truly a plum tree. Cherries are usually marketed with the stem still attached to the fruit. When canned or preserved, the stems are customarily removed from the cherry. Hybridizers such as Luther Burbank concentrated on improving several characteristics that were important in marketing the fruit: the size, color, flavor, and sweetness. Burbank produced one cultivar so rich in sugar and it hung on the tree, instead of the rapid decay, after ripening on the tree as experienced with most cherry cultivars. Cold hardiness was considered to be very important in cherry tree hybridization and Burbank used the bird cherry, Prunus pennsylvanica, that had withstood temperatures of negative 60 degrees Fahrenheit near Hudson Bay as one parent of the cherry hybrid, since it was considered to be the most cold hardy of all cherry trees. In considering the many disease and insect problems that cherries experienced, Burbank suggested that hybridizers concentrate on breeding immunity genes into cherries to bypass spraying and gassing. Burbank is greatly admired for his strong environmental stand by modern day conservationists. The common wild black cherry, Prunus serotina, is found growing in most of Eastern North America. The small cherries are grown in great abundance and are reliably produced in large crops, even in the coldest regions of the United States. There are efforts to hybridize the desirable genes of this cherry into existing clones of commercial cherry cultivars. The problem with this native cherry tree is that all parts of the tree and fruit contain the deadly toxin cyanogens, which have caused death and illness to children from cyanide poisoning in the fruit, even though birds dont appear to be affected from eating the fruit. Cherry trees in orchard situations grow 10 to 15 feet tall to manage the fruit harvesting properly, even though the can grow to 30 feet if not pruned. Cherry trees are very cold hardy down to negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and require approximately one thousand or more chill hours for an abundant fruit set. Pollination is not a great problem with cherry tree production. Rootstock selection for cherry trees is Mazzard, Prunus mahaleb, or Gisela or the recent Geissen, German rootstocks. The principal cherry commercial fruits grown in the United States are the sour cherries, Prunus cerasus L., that make up 99% of all production. These cherries are important in baking cherry pies and cherry tarts, as well as in frozen fruit packs or in canning. The most famous sour cherry is the Maraschino cherry that is used in cherry pies, cakes, juices, jams, jellies, mixed drinks, ice cream, and a host of other ways. This cherry is bright red in color and commonly seen on grocery store shelves in clear glass jars and bottles. Sweet cherry cultivars, Prunus avium L., are increasingly in demand and sold at U.S. markets. Bing cherries are well known as a fresh fruit item. This cherry is dark purple-red and is firm and has excellent shipping qualities. Other important sweet cherries are Napoleon and Ranier, a USDA release that is bright red with yellow undertones in the background. The Lambert cherry is good to use in canning as is the Stella. The Black Tartarian cherry is a sweet cherry commonly available from mailorder and internet catalogs. Cherries are rated high in antioxidant levels that offer great health benefits such as treating Gout. Many internet sites promote fresh cherry consumption as being the miracle cure and fast recovery from attacks of Gout. Some internet sites offer concentrated cherry extracts and powders of dried cherries as a cure. Cherries offer other health benefits in their high content of Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C, Niacin, and the minerals Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron, and Potassium. Japanese flowering cherry trees are the most widely adapted and popular flowering tree growing in the United States today. The multi-colored flowers of Yoshino cherry, Prunux x yodoensis, and Kwanzan cherry are seen early in the season, and the buds open into clusters of abundant, long lasting flowers that dominate the landscape of our nations capitol , Washington, D.C. Japanese flowering cherry trees Prunus serrulata Kwanzan were planted in Washington D.C. as a gift of the Japanese people to American citizens, largely through the efforts of President Tafts wife, the first lady. Thousands of these Japanese cherry trees were planted, and many tourists flock to the Capitol in the spring to experience that flowering extravaganza. Cherry blossom festivals, celebrations, and get-togethers are held yearly in cities throughout the country, when cherry trees are in flower to crown Cherry Queens and to schedule beauty pageants. The most popular Japanese flowering cherry trees are Prunus serrulata Kwanzan; Akebono Cherry, Prunus x yedoensis Akebono; Weeping Japenese Cherry, Prunus subhirtella var. pendula; Takesimensis cherry, Prunus takesimensis; Usuzeumi Cherry, Prunus spachiana f. ascendens; Autumn Flowering Cherry, Prunus subhirtella var. autumnalis; Sargent Cherry, Prunus sargentii; Fugenzo Cherry, Prunus serrulata Fugenzo and Okame Cherry, Prunus Okame. You Don’t Have to Break Down, When You Break Up!

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

By Damien Senn Very few people would argue with the fact that creating successful relationships is often one of the biggest challenges we face as human beings. The strange thing is that life can become even more challenging when they end. But is it really necessary to break down when you break up? Below are three simple ideas that will help guide you to re-build your life on your own. 1. Become firmly grounded in the present moment. If you find yourself on the other side of a relationship, it is important that you have a deep awareness of what you are feeling in the present moment. Continually check in with yourself. Notice what is going on with you if you are experiencing emotional upset. Your body is always in the present, but where is your mind? It may be very tempting for you to delve into your past replaying events over and over again in your head. The reality is, you can’t change your past, so trying to do so is futile. Just accept everything as it is. Find peace around the thought that both of you were operating to the best of your ability, given the circumstances, at any moment in time. Equally futile is casting your mind into the future, wondering what life could have, would have, should have been like had you stayed with your partner. The truth is that your future is going to look somewhat different to what you may have previously anticipated. Do your best to accept it. If you manage to stay in the present moment, most of the pain you will experience will be growing pains. You are transforming from one state of being to another. It’s not going to be easy. Whether your new state of being is a good one largely comes down to the choices you make. If you take responsibility for where you are right now you will slowly begin to see you life unfold as it should. 2. Breaking up with someone is a creative as well as a destructive process. It was Pablo Picasso that stated that ‘every act of creation is necessarily an act of destruction’. Whether you like it or not, breaking up with girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife is a creative process as much as it is a destructive process. What you are in fact doing is deconstructing your life with your partner and re-creating your life where your partner takes on a different role to the one they had previously. In extreme cases, you may even decide that your partner will have no future role in your life. This creative process can be turbulent and it can also be profoundly enjoyable and exciting. What you have is an opportunity to start over. If it feels right for you, completely immerse yourself into the creative process. Take the opportunity to try as many new things as you possibly can. You may well astound yourself with what you are capable of doing on your own. 3. Allow yourself to regenerate. If you are going through a break up allow yourself plenty of time to regenerate. Focus on the things that you can control. Make sure that you exercise regularly, eat properly and get plenty of rest. Read, spend time with family and close friends and spend plenty of time in nature. Take things slowly, look after yourself and create the time and space in your life necessary to allow yourself to start growing again. Remember two things. However you choose to adapt to this change process, it is of critical importance that you remember two things; i) be kind to yourself and ii) be kind to your ex-partner. Whether your break-up was hard fought or amicable, extending compassion to your old friend will help you both immensely in the healing process. Remember that you are both beautifully human, doing the best you can to navigate through this world. Copyright Damien Senn 2005. All rights reserved. The Traditional Way Of Hand Polishing Marble

Monday, November 19th, 2007

By Steve Walker Forty years ago when I started out my career all marble edge polishing was done by hand. Today such work is done entirely by machine but there are still circumstances where hand polishing would be a useful skill to know. Traditionally edge polishing was considered a separate semi-skilled trade. These polishers spent their whole working day rubbing hundreds of feet of marble edges and would develop strange physical deformities, bulging shoulder muscles and a thumb that would curve back and touch their own wrist were the most common! The process would start once the edges to be polished had been identified, large areas of marble slabs, for instance the cladding on commercial buildings would be laid out on huge benches and pattern matched. The exposed edges that required polishing perhaps hundreds of feet, would be identified and marked. One at a time each slab would be propped upright against a bench with the edge to be polished uppermost. Just to hand would be a bucket of water, a sponge and a rag cloth. The work was carried out using various grades of carborrundum stone blocks and to start would be a coarse 60 or 80 grit stone. This would be the longest stage of the work as the edge of the marble would have quite deep wheel marks left by the diamond saw blades from the cutting. The stone would be dipped into the water and then rubbed evenly up and down the edge of the slab always keeping a heavy and steady pressure on. The rough corners of the marble would be also rubbed off to create a small flat corner called an arris. Every now and then the marble had to be dried to check on progress, this was achieved by whirling the rag in the air above the work. This is still the best way of drying large areas of wet stone by the way! Once all of the wheel marks and other deep scratches were removed with the 60 grit he would move on to the second stone, this time a 120 grit, just a bit finer than the previous stone. This stone would be used until all of the scratches from the previous grit had been removed completely and replaced by a new layer of finer scratches. Polishing marble is in fact the process of wearing down the surface with finer and finer scratches until the scratches are no longer visible to the naked eye! This process continues through at least six different grits of abrasive down to a 500 or 600 grit. The final stone used was a very fine block made by the polishers themselves from ultra fine carborundum dust and marble glue, and strangely called snake! At this point the marble surface is still not highly polished. It has just a very smooth honed finish. The final stage is achieved with a hard block of felt and a cocktail of various polishing powders, the most commonly used were putty powder, pumice powder and oxalic acid. One or all of these would be used wet or just damp to provide the final gloss. The most obvious advantage of hand polishing is that this process does not create clouds of dust, as the work is carried out wet, This means that unlike dry machine polishing, there was little serious health risk to the polishers. The quality of the finished polish was also superior to machine polishing leaving a higher polish, smaller arrises and a flat surface. However, hand polishing is a seriously slow and laborious process. Machine edge polishing is much quicker, and within three or four years of the appearance of edge polishing machines the art of hand polishing marble had all but disappeared. Steve Walker has been a craftsman in stone and marble for 40 years and in his long career has practised as a stone mason, letter cutter, restoration carver, marble mason, fireplace designer and manufacturer. He now makes engraved stone house signs. Getting Over Abuse

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

By Neil Millar I was quite lucky. I wasn’t abused as a child, so I knew the abuse happening to me as an adult shouldn’t have been occurring. Not everyone who suffers from abuse is that lucky. When I left my abusive partner it was the first stage of recovery. My life was a wreck. I had two children, one living with me at the time, little money and very poor heath. The road ahead looked bleak. I didn’t feel good about myself. I felt depressed. I didn’t really like or trust other people anymore and the future was just a scary black hole. During this relationship I allowed myself to be subjected to physical, mental and verbal abuse. But in this article I want to focus on the verbal abuse. What is verbal abuse? Verbal abuse is incessant ridicule, name-calling and mocking. The abuser will often blame you for things that have nothing to do with you and make you feel responsible for their mess in some way. When you talk about things they’ll argue and say it’s all your fault. After some time you’ll begin to wonder what’s wrong with you. What’s happened to the ‘me’ within me? My sense of self began to diminish - the ‘me’ that used to drive my machine - and I began to think I was wrong all the time. What complicated things was that a year before I met my partner I’d fallen fourteen feet and hit the concrete headfirst. Often when she blamed me for things, I would think ‘I don’t remember you saying that,’ and then, even though I sensed I was being blamed for something, I took on the responsibility and accepted blame, justifying it - saying ‘The bang on my head must have affected my memory.’ When you’re in a stream of verbal abuse it begins to strip away your identity. Once you become a victim of an abuser you can quite quickly end up serving their needs, while forgetting your own. The relationship becomes very much like a traditional mother-child relationship - mother (you) child (them). In my case the name-calling, ridiculing and mocking served to undermine who I really was. What happened was my partner was drilling into me who she thought I was - or more likely who she wanted me to be. This happens when an abuser want you to fit into a warped perception of reality they expect to see in the world. Remove the Web I liken overcoming abuse to removing yourself from a spider’s web. I found I behaved in certain ways and had no idea why. I can recall speaking harshly to people and then thinking ‘Where did that come from?’ Alternatively I would feel cornered and angry, and then think, ‘Why do I feel like this? There is no reason to behave like this!’ Whenever these types of things surfaced I’d shut myself away for a while and try to understand what just happened. Eventually I stumbled onto something that changed everything. What did I uncover? I found that my responses where knee-jerk reactions that had nothing to do with whoever or whatever confronted me. I realised that these knee-jerks were all to do with a conditioned behaviour I’d learn during the abusive relationship. How does that work? When these knee-jerk reaction happened I discovered it had nothing to do with current circumstances and all to do with a pattern of behaviour I’d been running in order to survive. When I analysed the ‘current situation’ I understood I was not under threat - not about to be called names or undermined and could therefore behave in a way that was more accepting rather than fearful. What happened then? Gradually I began to master my emotions again. Sometimes I’d slip back to the knee-jerk, other times I’d catch it, say ‘Hi’ to it and then let it go. Eventually the knee-jerks stopped coming. The Road Ahead I want to wrap up this article by letting you know that things can, and do, turn out well. Although I never sought councilling, I know others do. This is, at the least a way of being able to talk about things. Another way is to spend a weekend writing down every thing that happened to you in your abusive relationship. Writing is an excellent way to vent and it harms no one. What did I do? I read lots of books. My goal wasn’t necessarily to overcome abuse, but to rediscover me again. I also became quite careful who I became good friends with and who I listened to. I hope this article helped you.
